SPAFFORD VETERANS MEMORIAL
The committee has decided to continue work towards the completion of the Veterans Memorial park, now that about $6500 in donations have been received from the community donations and pledges from Ryan Phillips' slalom ski of Skaneateles Lake. The monument area will be developed first, with brick path around the monument, and installation of two granite benches.  [Pictures of water and electric installation April 2003] [Monument installation] ["Rally 'round the flagpole" (7/24/03)]

SLALOM SKI OF SKANEATELES LAKE
Ryan Phillips is a Marcellus high school student who wanted to do something to help the community. So his mother suggested that he do what he does best... water ski!  Ryan water-skied the entire 16 mile length of Skaneateles Lake August 2nd, starting at Glen Haven, and ending at the Skaneateles village dock, raising almost $2,000 to benefit the Spafford Veterans Memorial.
