Historian's Desk:
Moon Hill, is
very, very rugged with a couple of large falls up there. A
team of horses was said to have fallen over, trying to cross the
ledge (years & years ago!) Also said to have been a sort of
cave under the falls, where water had washed it away. You can
still walk there (with permission), if you are brave enough. We
did the walk over twenty years ago and it was tough then, so
can't imagine it has improved. Most of the old road was washed
away.
