These pictures will take a few minutes to load. Please be patient.
(12 pictures, each 500 pixels wide, 6.94x4.57 inches, approximately 481kb.)

The La Fayette Concert Band has nearly 40 members, all-volunteers, all ages, for different areas of Central New York. The Director is Norm Wanzer, just retired from teaching music at the Baldwinsville Schools. It is his 2nd year directing, taking over for the late Al Balestra.

"Because people enjoy marches in a park in the Summertime . " Norm Wanzer, Director

They are always looking for new members. They start practicing in March on Tuesday nights in La Fayette. All concerts are Tuesday nights. No audition is necessary and all age groups are accepted.

The picture below was taken by Travis Towers from atop the jungle gym (a.k.a. "Playscape").

' The community was very generous and hopefully the band will return next year...It was an asset to Borodino and well-received, even though we were roasting! ' Fran Hole, Band Member from Borodino

Music was enjoyed by all ages.

One shot I missed, unfortunately, was when a group of men push-started Dr. Ayers' car !

Up to the Top, Please
