Neighbors First

 

“Nei= ghbors First” - We are an alliance of voters across political parties from the Town of Spafford. We appreciate that we live in a unique and diverse community of people with different ideals, backgrounds and occupations. We are neighbors.=

Our missio= n is to elect into Town office those candidates who value service to our communi= ty over politics, who exhibit strong personal character and will represent our= entire= town. We seek to elect decent, hardworking folks who will serve on our behalf and foster goodwill among Town residents.

Many of us remember when the Town of Spafford was a friendlier pl= ace. We choose to live here because we like it here. While we do not always agree with each other, we respect our differences and strive to seek mutually beneficial solutions to problems rather than promoting personal or political agendas.

Limited role of Town government

• &nbs= p;   Is a Master Plan really necessary?

• &nbs= p;   We should utilize existing programs as incentives to preserve farmland, open spaces, view sheds and property owner’s rights.

 

Fiscally responsible Town government

• &nbs= p;   Demand strict and responsible control over Town-wide budgetary planning and expenditures.

• &nbs= p;   No unnecessary spending.

• &nbs= p;   No public money for private organizations.

 

Civil, respectful Town government

• &nbs= p;   Attend to Town business in a civil and orderly fashion.

• &nbs= p;   Seek solutions to Town issues - No personal agendas.
