Town of Spafford residents to hold public forum
Future of town will be topic of discussion

As the election results for Spafford town government were
tallied on Nov. 4, more than 70 Spafford residents gathered
to celebrate the camaraderie, hard work and shared vision
that brought them together during this autumn's campaign.

"The campaign is over for this year, at least. But our
concerns are still very much alive and we are all eager to
continue the work we outlined in the Spafford Party
platform," said Dr. Gianfranco Frittelli, a supporter of the
Spafford Party.

As soon as the polls closed, the group formed a new
community action group, Citizens for Spafford.

The first public meeting will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15,
10 am at the Spafford Town Hall. Organizers welcome all
residents of Spafford and the surrounding area to meet and
discuss issues they would like to see addressed in the
coming year.

"We came a very long way in a short time and we have an
enormous amount of vitality, interest and organization that
we can focus on important community issues," said
Richard Malcom, who ran for Town Supervisor against
incumbent Gordon Ireland.

Spafford Town Council Member Elect, Joyce Barnett, said
Citizens for Spafford will be invaluable to her as she begins
her term on the Spafford town board. (Says, "see page 7")

continued on page 7 but it wasn't there.
