Spafford residents should be proud

To the Editor:

The first Memorial Day parade ever and the first parade in the town of Spafford in more than 50 years was a huge success.

It shows what a small town can accomplish when people work together towards a common goal.

The Spafford Veterans Memorial is for all the servicemen and servicewomen, both past, present and future,

who gave the best years of their lives for their God, their beliefs and their country.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Veterans Memorial to make it lasting monument to our veterans and our community.
