Borodino resident is on the front lines in Iraq

Andy Chave is in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry out of Fort Campbell, KY.
He joined the reserves when he was a junior in high school, and worked out of Oswego (combat engineers). Went Army full time right after 9/11.

He is infuriatingly non-communicative - I usually only hear from him when he needs a ride home from the airport, so I haven't heard from him since January 2nd. But I follow the news of his battalion, and they're now around Najaf.

The sign? Guess I'm just not much of a yellow ribbon-type person, but I wanted to do something to show my support of my son and all the guys that are there following orders. So I spent a few hours on my birthday painting it and hanging it - made me feel better.

I should add that "No Slack" is the motto of the 2nd battalion, 327th Infantry, and not a direct order from a mother!

NAJAF, Iraq -- The order was simply stated, but not necessarily simple to follow: Destroy enemy bunkers, weapons and personnel to hasten the fall of this ancient holy city.

And do not touch the mosque.
