Correction to above: It was Roundy's Tavern first,
and then became the Legg Hotel.

Left to Right -- Circa 1920 Bartlett's Store [see
correction below], Perry Rich's Store and
Post Office, Churchill (house and barn, Legg Hall. In front is the stone
foundation of Legg Block, in back of King store is the M.E. Church belfry.
Field of
commercially-grown sweet peas is shown in the foreground--where the Spafford Veterans Memorial now stands.

Congratulations on a great "History Channel"
One correction, if I may:
In the fourth picture of the series titled: "Downtown Borodino in the
1880's", the store identified as "circa 1920 King's Store" was owned at
that time by my father Ernest Bartlett who, in partnership with Emerson
Burroughs, bought it in about 1908. Emerson later sold his share to
Ernest, and moved to Otisco, to operate a store there.
Ernest sold the store to Bill Fesko in 1946.
