MED CONSTRUCTION

This sound-proof and super-insulated 3-1/2 floor  house, is being built right now, off Boches Road near  Borodino Landing on Skaneateles Lake by MED Construction. Built with styrofoam Eco-panels,  this house will have 12" thick walls: 8" in the middle, 2" of concrete inside and out. Mike Daniels, owner of MED Construction, graciously showed us around and explained the project to us.

Next week we'll put the roof on, and the electrician will be here to do his thing.

Windows will have overhangs. House will have 3-1/2 floors; the top 1/2-story will be a cupola room. Exterior will be stucco.

Driveway side. The owner will have a dry, sound-proof and super-insulated home, with sprinkler system. 

Brad is an expert with his bobcat.
 
This will be the kitchen and great room.

 Radiant heat in the concrete floor and temporary heat make the basement a cozy work area.

Mike examines the windows, Marvin windows throughout.

Mike shows us a section of the styrofoam wall system. The styrofoam is 2-1/2" thick, and both inside and outside will be concrete.
