BORODINO? SPAFFORD
PARTY OFFERS VOTERS CHOICE At Wednesday (8/27) night's first organizational meeting of the Spafford Party, members gathered to hone their ideas, and strategize their campaign. The Borodino Bullett encourages it's readers to feel free to discuss their concerns and questions on Joe's Cafe. This is historically an interesting time in Spafford history, and we all have a voice. Lisa Valletta said there will be a Retirement Party for Merrill Clark on September 21st at the Borodino Firebarn on Nunnery Rd. from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. SEPTEMBER TOWN BOARD MEETING will be held September 11th. These meetings commence about 7:30 PM at the Town Hall, and are open to the public. See what's going on in the town, make a suggestion, or make some noise. Sometimes the masses get cookies with the free coffee. The board holds their budget meeting September 18th. METAL DAY: THIRD SATURDAY OF THE MONTH THRU OCTOBER -- The Town pays $135 for a "metals" container each month. Although it's not intended for construction debris, or 'entire pieces of machinery,' there is some concern over possible misuse of the bin. Supervisor Ireland said there "ought to be some unwritten rule, if you can't lift it, you can't dump it." CORRECTION:
