NYS TO AUDIT SPAFFORD CODE ENFORCEMENT ^
The NY Dept. of State plans to audit Spafford's code enforcement program this year, in answer to multiple complaints about messy and dilapidated properties (mainly from Spafford resident Peter Pirnie, see Bullett Archives. Just type in "Pirnie" in the Search field). The department does 2 or 3 audits a year in towns that receive a lot of complaints. The audit will take about a week, resulting in a report giving recommendations to improve the town's code enforcement program.  Read: State to audit code program.
