The Town Board meeting was Thursday, December 13th. Merrill

be finished next year, and work at Spafford Landing is also slated for

IF YOU SEE LOW FLYING
PLANES OVER SKANEATELES LAKE
Doug Staley gave us a heads-up on the DEC meeting with
the Town of Spafford. Staley says the DEC will be surveying, as part of a County-wide upgrade of
it's watershed flood maps.
Staley: "The last map was done in 1982, and they're not too
accurate." "Anyone on the lake now paying flood insurance
may see their insurance rates go down." (as a result of this
project). Staley also told the Board that he had 61 appointments, 282
inspections, brought in well over $5,000 in building permits,
and almost a dozen new houses are to be constructed in the community
over the next year.

Vinzant's future plan, on file at the Town Hall.
When asked if they didn't think the planned structure perhaps a bit
ostentatious for Spafford, Bill Vinzant replied: " It's not
just for the cows, you know. It's for the cats and
mice."
We will have a
full report in the January Issue of the Bullett.
