LOCAL MAN WINS OSCAR FOR BEST PICTURE IN BORODINO FOR 2005

Joe Vecchio, from Joe's Auto Body Inc. and the Borodino Film Co., wins his first Oscar at the famous Fireman's banquet Saturday night at Footprints. "Joe had to watch 24 hours of strange town hall tapes in the making of the award winning, 2-1/2 hour video, "Sex, Lies, and Videotape in Spafford."

 "I did want to throw up after the 21st hour," Joe explains. "But I'm a filmmaker. And filmmakers, like auto mechanics, don't quit when the job gets dirty."

 "Making a good and accurate educational film about my town politics was better than watching Oprah, MTV or Dr Phil."

"My next movie, "Al Qaeda Meets Joe Voter",  will be out in early 2007. James Bond, Austin Powers....watch out." Joe Voter is out to save the world from the weird exaggerations of the Democrats and the Republicans.
